Franciscan Center for Social Concern at Bona's

Friends with Sisters

Friends With Sisters is a brand-new service program joining the Franciscan Center for Social Concern. Friends With Sisters aims to eliminate social isolation and build relationships between students and retired sisters of the Franciscan Sisters at the St. Elizabeth Motherhouse.

The third-youngest nun living in the motherhouse is 72 years old. Matching these nuns with college students between the ages of 18 and 23 is bound to make an impact. Students visit their matched nun once a week to spend time with them, whether that means taking a walk or simply having a meaningful conversation.
