Hello! My name is Matthew Wrobel, and I am a member of Bona Buddies and Friends With Sisters!

I am a mentor for an orgnization at St. Bonaventure Univesity called Bona Buddies. Bona Buddies is a youth mentoring program where a student at St. Bonaventure is paired with a child from the local community. Each week I meet with my buddy for two hours a week on campus, the first hour is one on one time and the second hour we get together in a group and do a group activity. My buddy, Micah, brings joy to my week with the energy and smile that she has. I aim to be a positive role model and friend as we meet each Thursday.

In addition to Bona Buddies, I am also a member of Friends With Sisters. Friends with Sisters, a new partnership with the Franciscan Allegany Sisters, brings SBU students to the motherhouse to develop friendships with the retired sisters living across from the SBU campus. Each Wednesday I go on a walk with my sister, Sister Pamela. I have already learned so much about her and our friendship continues to grow. Sister Pamela has shown support for me by attending my hockey games!

Our organizations run on donations and we appreciate them immensely. We use these donations in order to operate our clubs.
