What has Rugby given me?

I chose to play Rugby at St. Bonaventure because I want to be part of something bigger. While small in size, this school has provided me a wealth of opportunity to get involved. The skills I learn on the field and through my interactions with my teammates, will carry through and I will have a lifetime of memories in the process. 

My first major memory that stuck with me, was the first time going to Mt. Irenaeus. I didn't really know many people, and being six hours away from home was new to me. However, being at the Mountain for a few days really changed everything for me. Teammates i hadn't known well at all, are now my best friends, and i became closer to the team because we all shared stories that helped us grow as a team. Being a junior at the school now, the mountain is more important than ever, because it is more for the freshman than any other person. For them, its a time to get to know people that they hadn't gotten a chance to know. Those memories of Mt. Irenaeus have, and will always stick with me.
